Celebration Children

Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!

Perdiot - Eli has been chosen for his excellent behaviour in class and his progress in reading. Well done!


Emerald - Arabella has been chosen for her hard work in phonics and for reading at home consistently. Well done!

Sapphire - 

Amethyst - Archie has been chosen for sharing good ideas in English lessons and using lovely descriptions in his writing. Well done!

Diamond - Jacob has been chosen for working really hard on improving his writing. Well done!

Ruby - Dylan has been chosen for showing resilience this week with some challenging maths work. Well done!

 

This week's attendance trophy winners are Amethyst with a 98.4% attendance this week!  Well done!


Headteacher Awards

This week, the following children have received headteacher awards for their efforts:

Violet - for her attitude to problem solving in maths.

Toby, Fraser, Theo, Archie, Jacob, Taylor, Lydia, Quinn and another child in Amethyst Class - for their amazing animal information leaflets. 

Gabriel and Henry - for their partner work in maths problem solving.

George and Violet - for their collaborative work with the maths challenges.

Gamze- for her effort in using relative clauses.

Mia, Oscar, Aiden and Lorna - for their wonderful sentence construction.

Henry, Zakiah, Jacob and Enzo - For their brilliant attitude towards their maths problem solving.

Ellis, Phia, Bobby and Violet-Rose - for their excellent effort in guided reading. 

Lilly - for her amazing part whole number work.

Well done to them all!

Values Awards

Every week, all members of staff are asked to nominate children who have been spotted being responsible, respectful and ready. The code of conduct certificates are always varied and demonstrate the range of places and ways that children demonstrate these values.

Enzo has been nominated for remembering the water bottle box, even though it was not his responsbility. Well done!

Well done to the children who have been respectful this week.

Brinley and Bobby have been nominated for holding the door open for an adult. Well done!

Yusuf has been nominated for being respectful and moving the chair out of the way for another child without being asked. Well done!

Erin has been nominated for waiting for an adult and holding the door open for them. Well done!

Take a look at what our children have been curious about this week in their learning!

Food Chains in Nursery
A lovely morning was had at Forest School. We were thinking about Food Chains and children really understood and gave examples of the order in the chain. We also planted some wild flower seeds around the wood which we hope will add to the Food Chain over time.

Electrical Circuits in Amethyst Class
Children in Amethyst Class enjoyed learning about how an electrical circuit is made, and then had the opportunity to apply their knowledge.

Mrs Bigwood has been nominated on her final day at John Wilkinson, everyone would like to celebrate her kindness, bubbly personality and love of ducks! We will all miss her very much.
