Update to Half-Termly Attendance Certificates

Attendance at school is very important to us, but we also know that there are times when it is not in your child’s best interest to be in school.  After hearing concerns from a parent, we have looked again at the way that we issue our 100% attendance certificates and, in light of this, are making some modifications to our criteria.  If a child misses a session for a medical appointment and proof of appointment has been seen by the office, or there is an extenuating circumstance, this will not be counted against their attendance when issuing our certificates in the future.  This does mean that they will become awards for ‘Excellent Attendance’ rather than 100% certificates, but we hope that this will be more inclusive for all children.

We have looked back through the records since September and will issue some additional ‘Excellent Attendance’ certificates to reflect this change as part of today’s Celebration Assembly and will also apply the same criteria for the end of half-term certificates next week.

Headteacher Awards

Every week, all members of staff are asked to nominate children who have been spotted being responsible, respectful and ready. The code of conduct certificates are always varied and demonstrate the range of places and ways that children demonstrate these values.

 Be Responsible

Well done to the children who have been responsible this week.

Chloe (Y4) has been nominated for kindly offering to help Mrs. Phillips with an errand.  Well done!

Be Respectful

Well done to the children who have been respectful this week.

Maddie (Y2) has cleaned up some spilled milk that she noticed in the hall during Breakfast Club.  Well done!

Be Ready
