Celebration Children

Congratulations to the following children who have made us proud this week!

Peridot - Neiko has been chosen for always being so kind and respectful to his friends and grown ups in his class. Well done!

Emerald - Erin has been chosen for being a kind and caring person each day. Well done!

Sapphire - Finley has been chosen for his increased confidence during group work. Well done!

Amethyst - Otis has been chosen for working hard to research and write his own Egyptian god fact file.  Well done!

Diamond - Isla has been chosen for producing some amazing work in history. Well done!

Ruby - Jack has been chosen for his positive and responsible attitude towards spellings. He has made so much progress as a result and we are all very proud of him. Well done!

Congratulations to Emerald Class who have won the class attendance trophy again this week with 96.2%


Headteacher Awards

Every week, all members of staff are asked to nominate children who have been spotted being responsible, respectful and ready. The code of conduct certificates are always varied and demonstrate the range of places and ways that children demonstrate these values.


 Be Responsible

Well done to the children who have been responsible this week.

Violet (Y5) and another child (Y6) have been nominated for helping to clean the cloakroom after a full water bottle spill. Well done!

Jack (Y1) has been nominated for helping to clean up a spillage. Well done!

Isabelle (Y4) has been nominated for stepping in to run the lunch registers around the classes for Mrs Phillips. Well done!


Be Respectful 

Well done to the children who have been respectful this week.

Bella, Noah, Alfie and Eadie have been nominated for encouraging each other at the tri golf event at William Brookes School.

Jacob (Y6) has been nominated for checking on a grown-up and asking if they need anything. Well done!


Be Ready

Well done to the children who have been ready this week.

Riley (Y5) has been nominated for trying really hard with Year 6 SATS work in the after school booster club. Well done!

Take a look at what our children have been curious about this week in their learning!

The Green Man
Children have enjoyed learning about the mythological story of the Green Man at Forest School. We thought about how he looked after the wood and the creatures in it. Children then created their own ‘Green Man’ using natural resources they found.

Hazel Gardiner Author Visit
Children in Peridot and Emerald classes were visited by Hazel Gardiner, a children's author, this week.  Hazel talked to the children about her book, 'Boots and Cats' and the children were all handed a signed version of the book to keep.

Children across school have been busy making cards and artwork to celebrate David Attenborough's 100th birthday!

Year 4 Residential Visit to Pioneer Centre
Our Year 4 pupils have had a fantastic time at the Pioneer Centre this week, on a one-night residential.  They have participated in activities including, archery, caving, zip-lining, climbing and inflatables!

Orienteering and Tri-Golf at William Brookes School
Year 3 enjoyed a fun‑filled orienteering and Tri‑Golf event at William Brookes School. For some pupils it was their first time trying a new sport, and everyone embraced the experience. There was lots of teamwork, healthy competition, and enjoyment throughout the afternoon.
