Reading is at the heart of our curriculum and we inspire children to become lifelong readers through high-quality texts, storytelling and daily opportunities to enjoy books.

Outdoor Learning

We believe learning extends far beyond the classroom.

Our outdoor environment provides daily opportunities for children to develop physically, socially and emotionally through exploration and active play. Whether building, creating, investigating, gardening or solving problems together, children learn valuable skills whilst enjoying the outdoors.

Forest School Exploration

Our school is home to an extensive forest school site where our children can connect with nature, socialise, and get muddy! We encourage your child’s natural curiosity through focused activities and child-led play.

A Smooth Transition to School

We understand that starting school is a significant step for both children and families.

Throughout the summer term, we offer a range of transition opportunities designed to help children become familiar with their new classroom, teachers and friends before September. These sessions help children feel confident, secure and excited about starting school.

When children begin Reception, we do not expect them to be able to read or write. We simply ask that families encourage increasing independence in everyday tasks such as dressing, using the toilet independently and managing personal belongings.

Our school uniform helps children feel part of our community and strengthens our sense of pride and belonging.

Wraparound Care

We recognise the importance of flexible childcare for families.
