It is wonderful when our Key Stage 2 pupils want to share activities that they enjoy with younger years.
Some of the year 1 children have been enjoying a break-time dance club, set up and run by 2 of the girls from year 6. The girls have given up their time to plan a routine along with music. Year 1 are really having fun and leave the hall with big smiles. We can't wait to see the finished dance.
Today, we have welcomed coaches from Broseley Youth Sports to work with girls throughout the school. The aim of #Let Girls Play is to inspire and give women and girls equal opportunities to football in schools and clubs. A huge thank you to the coaches for volunteering their time. We welcomed mountain bike trial champion, Danny Butler to school this week as part of our Great Athletes event. Each class took part in exercise circuits, which were followed by an assembly where Danny showed us some of the skills he has, and talked us through how he became British and European mountain bike trials champion.
