When children are healthy, happy and safe, curiosity is ignited and learning is optimised. In this section, you will find out what children in school and nursery have been learning this week.
The Year 6 pupils hosted their MacMillan coffee morning, and did a wonderful job of serving their guests. Thank you to all of our families who have donated cakes, and attended to make this important event such a success for our Year 6 pupils.
Our Parent, Baby and Toddler Group have enjoyed their first few weeks of term. It has been lovely to see so many familiar and new faces, and watching the children start to build friendships. We have lots of exciting sessions planned for the coming weeks, and look forward to seeing lots of families joining us. If you would like to join the group, we meet in the nursery room on a Wednesday morning, 9:05-10:30am.
Sapphire Class have been very busy this week.
In art, we focused on harmonious colours that sit together on the colour wheel. We then linked this to our Harvest Festival performance and created lettering in Autumnal colours.
In history, we continued our learning on Invaders and Raiders. Why not ask the children what they know about the groups that invaded Britain after the Romans left?
Sapphire class had such a wonderful first week. It has been a pleasure to teach them and see new friendships blossom, as well as continuing established friendships. I am so impressed with how the children have handled the changes this week.
We have had some fun being inspired by Paul Klee and creating tertiary colours in art, and learning the story of Jesus' baptism in RE (and even making sliding stories to help us remember!)
