What a lovely morning our Nursery Stepping Stones children had at Frankly Farm Tours. The children saw first hand some amazing animals and life cycles that we’ve been learning about in Nursery.

What a lovely morning our Nursery Stepping Stones children had at Frankly Farm Tours. The children saw first hand some amazing animals and life cycles that we’ve been learning about in Nursery.
Our Reception and Year One children visited Acton Scott Heritage Farm this week. They had a fabulous time cooking their own fresh bread, doing laundry the Victorian way and learning how sheep were sheered in the past.
Years 3 and 4 were given a wonderful opportunity to visit the World Museum in Liverpool, this week, to consolidate their learning about the Ancient Egyptians.
This week Sapphire class have been learning the process of mummification, ready to write their own explanations.
We have started with learning about cleansing the body and removing the organs.
We then created our own 'mummy bodies' and labelled what we could remember! They showed excellent team work!
We have had a lovely day to start off Summer 2!
In music, we have used the glockenspiel to work out pitch patterns. We all had to guess which pitch pattern each group had chosen.
Congratulations to all Year 4 pupils for completing your Multiplication Timestables Checks this week! We celebrated in class with games and a cake!
Children in Peridot Class have been comparing Queen Victoria and King Charles. They found out lots of information about the two monarchs and have really enjoyed all having a turn at being the King or Queen for the day.
Our Year two children have had a wonderful long day out at the seaside this week. Fairbourne Beach is such a lovely place to visit, with lots of opportunities for children to explore.
Children have enjoyed learning about the mythological story of the Green Man at Forest School. We thought about how he looked after the wood and the creatures in it. Children then created their own ‘Green Man’ using natural resources they found.
Children in Peridot and Emerald classes were visited by Hazel Gardiner, a children's author, this week. Hazel talked to the children about her book, 'Boots and Cats' and the children were all handed a signed version of the book to keep.
Children across school have been busy making cards and artwork to celebrate David Attenborough's 100th birthday!
Our Year 4 pupils have had a fantastic time at the Pioneer Centre this week, on a one-night residential. They have participated in activities including, archery, caving, zip-lining, climbing and inflatables!
