When children are healthy, happy and safe, curiosity is ignited and learning is optimised. In this section, you will find out what children in school and nursery have been learning this week.
On Monday, iRock attended school to deliver a music assembly. The children all got involved and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Information regarding lessons from iRock has been sent home if your child would like to register their interest.
Year 6 researched, designed and created their very own workable cars in their design & technology lessons.
Year 4 have been working on poetry about volcanoes. The children have had lots of fun performing!
The Reception class have been investigating the cold weather this week. We put different things outside to find out if they would freeze.
Year 1 have been learning about shape and lines relating to the weather and weather symbols. We have been learning how to use sketching pencils to create dark and light shades. 
The children in Reception and Year 1 have been busy making wonderful Christmas keepsakes to bring home. 
The children from nursery and school took part in our annual Santa Dash. We all had lots of fun and giggles throughout the morning, and got very muddy!
The Reception class performed their version of the Nativity story to a packed audience. Well done to them all! They worked so hard to learn the songs and their words.
Year 6 children delivered an outstanding performance of A Christmas Carol, and their own Christmas poem, to a full house 
Our parent and toddler group enjoyed some lovely Christmas activities this week finishing with a visit from Santa! Happy Christmas everyone and thank you for your support.
Year 4 worked fantastically well on their sandwich making! We really enjoyed preparing, tasting and evaluating our own products. Thank you everyone for their help with ingredients. 
Year 3 had an amazing day creating their very own Lion-man-inspired clay sculpture.
The original man lion, made in the Stone Age, was discovered in a cave in Germany at the start of World War 2!
The clay sculptures are currently drying out, ready to go into the kiln. We won't see the final results until January, when we will glaze them.
