Reception Nativity
The Reception class performed their version of the Nativity story to a packed audience. Well done to them all! They worked so hard to learn the songs and their words.
When children are healthy, happy and safe, curiosity is ignited and learning is optimised. In this section, you will find out what children in school and nursery have been learning this week.

Year 6 children delivered an outstanding performance of A Christmas Carol, and their own Christmas poem, to a full house
Our parent and toddler group enjoyed some lovely Christmas activities this week finishing with a visit from Santa! Happy Christmas everyone and thank you for your support.
Year 4 worked fantastically well on their sandwich making! We really enjoyed preparing, tasting and evaluating our own products. Thank you everyone for their help with ingredients.
Year 3 had an amazing day creating their very own Lion-man-inspired clay sculpture.
The original man lion, made in the Stone Age, was discovered in a cave in Germany at the start of World War 2!
The clay sculptures are currently drying out, ready to go into the kiln. We won't see the final results until January, when we will glaze them.
A big thank you to Emma - our wonderful clay expert - for all her help and hard work on this project!
Nursery children have been having great fun enjoying our festive activities. Lots of crafts and glitter and the odd food treat!
Year 3 have been busily following their plans for a healthy sandwich for Stig of the Dump!
We enjoyed making them and then eating (but, we only had half and saved the other half for at home!)
The Reception class have created some robots for their homework over the past two weeks. They enjoyed showing them to the rest of the school in an assembly. The children have done a fantastic job!
The Reception class have been making paper plate puppets this morning. We listened to the story of 'Winnie's computer' and created puppets to help us retell the story.
Y4 have been working cooperatively this week to prepare a range of food for our DT project. We practised a range of different skills, including cutting, grating and spreading.
The Reception class had great fun playing in the snow!
School was looking lovely last week in all the snow! Mrs Fielding did a fabulous job clearing and gritting the paths. Thank you Mrs Fielding!
