Year 4 have been using the art technique of pointillism to create some beautiful river landscapes!
In Science this week, as part of our topic on solids, liquids and gases, year 4 have been creating their own investigations to test which chocolate melts the quickest - milk, dark or white!

Year 6 have been learning about informal language and have created their own informal howlers as part of their Harry Potter unit.
The Reception class enjoyed looking at a collection of old toys from the Shrewsbury museum service today. The children investigated what the toys were made from and how they were played with. We then created a timeline to show how toys have changed over the years.
Year 5 are continuing their learning about the human body. Today we investigated different types of joints using a range of indoor and outdoor games. ![]()
Year 3 have loved creating our own vehicles in DT this week. We learnt all about axles and how this mechanism allows the vehicle to move.
Year 1 have been learning all about cities, specifically London. We have been enjoying creating some beautiful cityscape artwork this afternoon.
In DT Year 3 have been learning about different mechanisms. We explored how sliders, linkages and leavers work.
The Reception class have been reading the story of Cinderella this week. We had fun this afternoon making items from the story. The children decided to make shields and crowns. Some children designed a new dress for Cinderella and others acted out the story in our castle.
Year 3 have been learning about the structure of the Earth and all it's different layers. We learnt each layers name and which is the thickest and hottest. We made a model of Earth using playdough!
Year 5 are learning about the human skeleton. We worked in groups to create our own 'X-ray images' to show our knowledge of bones in the body!
