  • Arthog Inspired Pottery - Year 6

    Published 14/02/25

Following our visit to Arthog, Year 6 were given the opportunity to take part in drop-in pottery sessions during lunchtimes. This piece is quite large and has taken many weeks. The children have followed different processes to achieve the finished look. They began by planning which parts of their Arthog trip they wanted to include on the sculpture. We have the mines, Vernon's pool, and the beach. As well as the Welsh dragon sitting proudly on the top. If you look carefully, you will also see that the sculpture has a light inside, lighting up the beach nighttime sky and the inside of the mine.

The finished piece is available to view in the Reception lobby if you would like to see it.
