Published 22/09/22Last week, Year 1 we're using crocodiles to understand our 'greater than' and 'less than' stem sentences. We really enjoyed using the crocodiles and now understand that they are very greedy and always want to eat the greater number!

Published 22/09/22Year 3 have been learning to identify the major bones in the human skeleton. We learnt all the scientific names for each bone and then worked cooperatively to build a model skeleton.

Published 22/09/22This week, the Reception class have been reading 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'. We decided to have a go at building bridges of our own and looked at lots of different examples of bridges to help us. The children used a range of equipment and then thought about how they could test the bridges to see how strong they were. These investigations will carry on into next week.

Published 15/09/22In Year 5 we have been thinking about our knowledge of states of matter, including solids, liquids and gases. We learnt how molecules behave differently depending on their state and acted as molecules ourselves!

Published 15/09/22This week, the Reception class have continued to explore the story 'We're going on a bear hunt'. We tried to experience all of the things that the family did on their bear hunt. The children looked closely at the swishy swashy grass, they talked about what water felt like and they made some squelchy squerchy mud! We visited the little forest school area and acted out the whole story.

Published 09/09/22The Reception class have had a fantastic week and have all settled in very quickly. Our topic this half term is 'Let's explore'. We have explored the school grounds and got very wet in the process! We have also been reading 'We're going on a bear hunt' and have started to create a large collage map of the family's journey. Here are some photographs of what we have created so far.
