  • 'Winnie The Witch'

    The Reception class have been reading stories about Winnie the Witch and we have set up a potions kitchen in the classroom. We went to forest school to mix some particularly nasty potions for the witch. The children had some really good ideas for ingredients!

    Children in Nursery have had a lovely time thinking about the meaning behind 'Children In Need'. They've been busy making posters and masks and look fabulous with their spotty outfits on. 🙂

  • Marvellous Machines in Reception

  • Remembrance Sunday 12th November 2023

    Thank you to the children (and parents) that braved the wet weather on Sunday to take part in the Broseley Remembrance Service.

    The children read a poem called ‘Remember Me’ that reflected on the sacrifices made by our service men and women. We remembered all those that have given their lives for our country.

  • Healthy Eating Day

    We looked at how we can stay happy and healthy. Children across the nursery and school had the opportunity to try healthy snacks, kindly donated by Co-Op and Sainsbury's Bridgnorth. During P.E. Mr Bennett and the children explored why keeping active is important, and in music lessons we discussed how music can help our mental well-being. Year 5 also did some brilliant writing, looking at the benefits of making healthy choices.

    It was wonderful to see so many children choose to try new foods and enjoy them!

  • Year 6 Journalists

    Extra-Extra-Read all about it! 🗞

    Year 6 have been busy writing newspaper reports focusing on ‘The Amistad mutiny’.

    They analysed different features to support their planning process, wrote their first draft and then independently assessed their work. Before finishing their final versions they checked their work with a partner.

    We are pleased to announce the fundraising totals from our MacMillan Coffee Morning and Non Uniform Day for The Abilities in Me Foundation!

    We have raised a total of £229.80 for MacMillan Cancer Support, and £158.55 for The Abilities in Me Foundation.

  • Year 1 Writing

    Year 1 have been so busy in our writing lessons recently! We have been studying non-fiction and learning how to write labels, lists and captions. We learnt the story 'Not a stick!' by Antionette and today we finished publishing our own stories and performing them to our classes. Well done year 1, you have done a super job!😄👍🎖✏️

  • Reception Class Explorers

    The Reception class have been thinking about what they would take with them if they were going exploring. They decided that they would need to take some sandwiches so, we made jam and cheese sandwiches and set off to find a dry spot to have our picnic. Luckily, the rain held off and we enjoyed our sandwiches under a tree!
