    This week our Year 6 pupils have taken part in their Harry Potter Sorting Ceremony! Each pupil had to use modal verbs and subordinating clauses to reason which house they should be sorted into… it caused a lot of debate!

  • Two Digit Numbers in Year One

    Year 1 have been busy learning about the 2 digit numbers, 11-20. We have learnt how to count and recognise the numbers using different apparatus. We can represent these numbers in different ways, which we explored this week!

  • Year 4 Severn Trent Water Visit

    Today, year 4 had a visit from Chris at Severn Trent water to talk about how our sewer systems work and how we can better protect ourselves, water systems and the environment.

    We worked in teams to create a sewer soup and then work hard to clean it using a variety of different filters. We were very successful in making some very clean effluent! I think some of our children like the idea of working for Severn Trent when they are older!😁

  • Reception Class - Freezing and Melting

    The Reception class have been investigating freezing and melting over the last few days. We left out some containers with different amounts of water to see what would happen. We added glitter and plastic bugs to some of the pots. The pot containing the plastic bugs froze really well and had the thickest ice.

  • Year 6 Investigating Properties

    In groups, they each had to explore whether different materials were magnetic, transparent, flexible and permeable. They recorded their findings, and we discussed these as a class.

  • Y6 Website Design

    Year 6 had a lovely first day of the spring term and made a fantastic start on their websites.

    In pairs, pupils had to explore PowerPoint and work out how to copy and paste images to form interesting backgrounds.

    Next lesson we will learn how to hyperlink different slides and add videos! 😄

    The Reception Class children have worked so hard to learn their parts and their joy shone through. How brave to stand up on that stage and perform in front of a big audience!
