Year 5 - Birch Class

Our Class Story
Stepping up, together.
Named after Birch Meadow, the green heart of Broseley, once the site of an ironworks and one of England’s first railways. In Year 5, our children step up — working as a team and moving forward.
Welcome to our class!
Welcome to our class!
Welcome to Birch Class! The adults in the class are Mrs Boam and Miss Williams.
Mrs Boam
My name is Mrs Boam (pronounced Bow-um) and I love spending time with children who are curious, enthusiastic and love to succeed. My favourite part of the day is story time where we can all huddle together and get into a great adventure together. I love teaching creatively and linking all of our learning together to help us make sense of the world. I enjoy making memorable experiences for the children. In my spare time, I love singing and live theatre and try to experience this as much as I can.
Miss Williams
My name is Miss Williams and I’ve been a teaching assistant at John Wilkinson for nearly five years now. I am passionate about helping every child to do their best and feel nurtured and included, and my favourite subjects are English and History. I love music and can play a few different instruments. Outside of school I enjoy travelling and curling up with a good book.
