Children in nursery enjoyed making their own healthy snack. They identified the different equipment they would need and used knives to chop their fruit. Some children even helped with the washing up!
Children in Emerald Class had a lovely afternoon observing the weather during spring. The children have made their own windsocks and tested them outside.
A lovely morning was had at Forest School. We were thinking about Food Chains and children really understood and gave examples of the order in the chain. We also planted some wild flower seeds around the wood which we hope will add to the Food Chain over time.
Children in Amethyst Class enjoyed learning about how an electrical circuit is made, and then had the opportunity to apply their knowledge.
The children have been investigating 3D shapes this week. The Reception children focused on learning about cuboids and made some great models.
Emerald Class enjoyed a wonderful session at Forest School as they went exploring for signs of spring! The children loved spotting new buds, blossoms and other clues that warmer days are on the way. It was a fantastic opportunity to explore nature, ask questions and enjoy learning outdoors together.
Children in Nursery, Peridot and Emerald Classes have enjoyed a Teddy Bear Picnic in the hall as a reward for all of their hard work this term. We have had wonderful afternoon of practising our social skills, sharing a picnic and enjoying a book or two.
We have had some fantastic entries to our Easter Egg Decorating Competition across the school. Our lucky winners were announced in assembly, and awarded their Easter Egg prizes, which have been kindly donated by Asda Express in Broseley.
Earlier this week, children from Year 3 visited All Saints Church to learn about the Easter story. We all enjoyed ourselves and the children behaved impeccably. Thank you to everyone who helped.
A group of boys in Year 5 and 6 have spent a fantastic morning with the Canal & River Trust in Wombourne on a fishing trip. The boys were a credit to the school with their sensible behaviour, beautiful manners, superb listening, and consideration for their peers, environment and general public.
A huge thank you to Tony, Mark, Mark and Kenny for giving up their time to put on this wonderful opportunity for these boys.
Nursery children have been thinking about healthy eating and how to look after our bodies. They have done a taste testing of various fruits. All children really enjoyed the choices and used some lovely describing words to tell everyone how they tasted and which were their favourites.
