  • Victorian Games in Year 1

    Year 1 have been learning all about school days in the Victorian Era. This week we have been learning about playground toys and games at school back in the 1800s. We learnt about how they played with games like: hopscotch, the diablo, skipping ropes, marbles and hoops. We also made our very own cup and ball toy!

  • Y2 Seaside Trip

    Children in Year 2 a wonderful time at Fairbourne beach making special memories with friends.

    Everyone enjoyed a picnic before heading to the beach for some fun. There were some really inventive creations made in the sand. We saw fantastic team work and creativity.

    Fairbourne is a place we visit during the year 6 residential to Arthog Outdoor Education & Activity Centre and is a really special beach to enjoy every time we visit.

  • Year 1 Weather Reporters

    We have been learning about weather symbols in science and how the weather changes across the seasons. Year 1 have been busy using the green screen to record their own weather forecasts, and have thoroughly enjoyed themselves.  Take a look at the Facebook page to see the videos!

  • Whole School Cricket Day

    The children enjoyed cricket coaching sessions this week. We saw some great cricket skills developing throughout the sessions. Seeing everyone smiling and having fun together has been wonderful. Thank you to Cricket Shropshire, we had a lovely day.

    We are all SO incrediby proud of you all. You have shown such a positive attitude all week towards your SATs and have tried your very best.

    A special thank you to Beckie for cooking our delicious breakfasts, Emma for treating us to a celebratory pineapple pizza and all the staff for supporting us during the tests.

    Year 1 have been working hard learning about Multiplication and Division in maths. We were learning how to divide a quantity by using the grouping strategy. We worked together with our partners to divide smarties by grouping them. It was great fun!

    In Year 1 we are learning about the pop artist James Rizzi! We are learning about how he created funky and imaginative cartoon-style street views. We have created our own double-page artist study using a variety of mixed media to get a feel for his colourful style.

  • Beautiful Botanicals in Year 3

    In year 3 this term we are focusing on beautiful botanicals. We looked at artist Georgia O'Keeffe, which allowed the children to think about drawing on a bigger scale and zooming in.
